Pri polaganju bitumenskih skodel je pomembna tudi uporaba primernega lepila.
IKO lepila omogočajo delo tudi ob vetru, na strehah z naklonih nad 60° in v hladnem vremenu.
Vsa lepila IKO so seveda popolnoma kompatibilna z IKO strešnimi skodlami.

Although roof shingles are nailed, extra bituminous mastic should be added when roof shingles are installed in areas with a lot of wind
OR in winter time IKO also recommends to seal the roof shingles with extra bituminous mastic.
Beware not to use just any brand of bituminous mastic in combination with bitumen roof shingles.
Application instructions
Note that steep slope shingle application (> 60°) or application of shingles in high wind areas require extra IKO nails and hand sealing with IKO mastic.
During cold weather application of extra mastic must be added in the same manner.
In high wind areas the tabs of each roof shingle should be glued for at least the top five courses of the roof.
Bituminous mastic should be applied in amounts no greater than 25 mm in diameter and used sparingly.
